What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is an ancient system offering insight into personality, pathways for growth and development, and for many a spiritual journey.

As we learn about our Enneagram Type (Enneatype), we gain awareness of patterned, often unconscious ways of being. This understanding helps us emphasize strengths, let go of unhelpful behaviors, and live life more intentionally.  

The Enneagram also helps us recognize the potential Enneatype of others. This perspective can improve relationships in the workplace and in our personal lives.

There are many dimensions to the Enneagram, and multiple pathways for development. Ultimately, it offers us a lifelong journey that integrates the positive aspects of all nine Enneatypes.

How do you discover your Enneagram type?

There are at least three ways to identify your Enneatype – studying the system through mentors, books and online information, using the narrative tradition, and taking online Enneagram assessments. Many people use all three!

  • A variety of books have been published on the Enneagram ranging from simple to highly complex. These can help you identify your type. I’m happy to share suggestions based on your interests.

  • In the narrative tradition, panelists from each of the 9 Types describe and embody what life looks like from their particular Enneagram point of view. Observers are able to identify which type resonates most for them.  

  • Over the past decade or more, technology has influenced the discovery of Enneatype through online assessments. These assessments provide a reported type. It’s up to you to confirm how well it fits.

Enneagram Assessment & Interpretation

I studied the Enneagram in more traditional ways for over a decade, and in 2022 added an online assessment to my practice.

I’m accredited to use the iEQ9 offered by Integrative Enneagram Solutions. This assessment is well liked by clients, comprehensive in the information it provides, and rigorous in its ongoing testing for validity and reliability. I’d be delighted to share it with you!

I collaborate with other coaches and therapists by providing Enneagram assessments and interpretations for their clients. These clients return to their ongoing work with new insights to process and integrate.

    I’ll send a link for you to take the online iEQ9 Enneagram Test and we’ll schedule a 90 minute session for a personalized interpretation of your results. You’ll identify (or confirm) your Enneagram Type and your Instinctive Subtype; discover your unique patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting; learn your core motivations, gifts, and ares for development; and much more! You’ll receive a twenty-three page iEQ9 Report, and a slide deck highlighting your results.

  • $295

    Sometimes one 90-minute session is all someone needs to clarify the steps required to reach their goal. We’ll focus on the future you desire, generate ideas, and explore resources to help you get there.

  • $1,075

    Career and life transitions can take time, though for many a shift toward a new beginning is possible in 90 days. Schedule six 60-minute sessions over three months, follow through on exploration, reflection, and research between sessions, check in as needed via email, text or phone, and experience significant progress toward the future you want to create

  • $3,500

    For clients seeking a deeper dive, schedule twenty 60-minute sessions over the course of five to six months. Loss and grief, confusion, and uncertainty are part of many career and life transitions. We process what was, identify patterns that were once helpful and no longer serve you, explore what is life-giving for you now, lean into your strengths, and align your actions with your goals.

    There are opportunities for exploration, reflection, and research between sessions, and I am available via email, text or phone to check in as needed between sessions.
